    Synopsis:

    Nio Chirinu’s quiet life as a restaurant waiter is abruptly shattered when he and his sister are drawn into the dangerous world of Kyoto's underworld. Recruited by the enigmatic ronin group Miburo, Nio finds himself thrust into a life of protection and combat under the guidance of Toshizou Hijikata and Souji Okita.

    The series follows Nio’s journey as he grapples with his own perceived inadequacy and strives to earn the respect of his fellow Miburo members. He undergoes rigorous training, seeking to bridge the gap between his past and his new role. Amidst perilous missions and confrontations, Nio must define his own understanding of justice while navigating complex interpersonal dynamics within the group. The anime explores themes of belonging, self-worth, and the challenging path to becoming a protector in a city steeped in history and hidden dangers.
