Synopsis:

This series explores the everyday lives of a couple reconnecting with their past while considering a future rooted in a familiar place. The narrative centers on a married pair who revisit Machida City, a location significant to their university years. Through nostalgic recollections and observations, they begin to reassess the city's understated charm and potential as a home for their family.

The anime presents a gentle, character-driven story emphasizing the subtle joys of community and the evolving meaning of home. It offers a glimpse into the atmosphere of Machida, highlighting its quiet appeal rather than grand spectacle. The series focuses on personal reflection and the gradual realization that contentment can be found in simple surroundings and shared experiences with loved ones. Viewers are invited to contemplate themes of nostalgia, family, and finding value in an often overlooked environment.

Does it have an interesting small story? Is the animation good? No and no. One of those could have been it's redeeming watch value, considering other animated commercials that have been a showcase of good animation like Studio Colorido's work. The promotion of the city is not organically woven into the commercial itself, and feels very unnaturally delivered in a long monologue exposition. There's almost no animation beyond mouths moving. The art itself is passable, the character design serve it's purpose, the characters are not unsympathetic. Some of the target audience might look Machida up, so I guess it may serve it's purpose thatway. However, using anime as a medium didn't really add any value here. Not worth watching for the artistic content.
