Synopsis:
Following a fire that displaces her and her older sister, high school student Mariko finds their lives unexpectedly intertwined with the household of their new landlord. The move introduces Mariko to Natsume, the landlord’s strikingly handsome son who works as a model. A connection quickly forms between them, blossoming into a romantic relationship. However, this budding romance is challenged by revelations regarding Natsume's other relationships, leading to heartbreak and separation. The narrative explores themes of first love, navigating complex emotional landscapes, and the bittersweet nature of chance encounters. The anime presents its story with minimal dialogue, relying instead on evocative visuals and a unique musical score featuring English vocals performed over Japanese pop compositions, reminiscent of classic silent film storytelling techniques.
