Synopsis:

The series follows Jess, an astronaut whose mission takes a drastic turn when he’s exiled to a remote penal colony planet. Stripped of his former life and purpose, Jess encounters an enigmatic elder who guides him toward a deeper understanding of existence. The narrative unfolds with a contemplative pace, exploring themes of redemption and the complexities of human connection in isolation. Drawing inspiration from the somber aesthetics of Japanese Noh drama "Kurozuka," the animation emphasizes atmosphere and emotional resonance over fast-paced action. Jess's initial fight against a tyrannical interstellar federation becomes secondary to his personal journey of self-discovery within the harsh landscape of the penal colony, prompting reflection on what truly defines life and love.
