Synopsis:

At the prestigious True Cross Academy, the anticipation for the annual festival is overshadowed by a looming threat. Students and exorcists unite to safeguard the festivities from demonic incursions. Rin Okumura, alongside his brother Yukio and fellow student Shiemi Moriyama, is assigned to eliminate the Phantom Train, a malevolent entity that feeds on souls.

Their mission takes a dangerous turn when the Phantom Train breaks free, unleashing chaos within the Academy's walls. Amidst the escalating conflict, Rin encounters Usamaro, a peculiar demon whose innocent appearance belies unforeseen power. As Rin forges an unexpected bond with this enigmatic creature, he begins to suspect that Usamaro’s true nature could be far more complex and potentially dangerous than he initially perceived, blurring the lines between ally and adversary. The series explores themes of friendship, responsibility, and the unpredictable nature of good and evil.
