Synopsis:
The narrative follows Rin Okumura, who unexpectedly journeys back in time with the aid of Mephisto Pheles, a master of time. Rin's destination is the formative years of his mother, Yuri Egin, during her training as an exorcist. Guided by Mephisto, he observes Yuri’s development, particularly her early relationship with Shirou Fujimoto, who becomes Rin and Yukio's adoptive father.
As Rin witnesses these past events, he uncovers the initial manifestations of Satan, his demonic progenitor, and glimpses into the clandestine operations of the True Cross Order's Section 13. His observations lead him to a deeper understanding of his mother’s complex connection to Satan, ultimately drawing him closer to the truth surrounding a pivotal, and deeply traumatic, event known as the Blue Night—an occurrence intrinsically linked to his own origins. The series explores themes of destiny, familial bonds, and the weight of inherited legacies through a historical lens.
