Synopsis:
In a world scarred by a mysterious contagion known as the Dark Mist, humanity has retreated behind towering walls and into self-contained artificial cities called Arks. The series follows Shido Enishi, a private investigator operating within the ninth Ark, a place of carefully managed order and limited resources. His routine work is disrupted when he's tasked with apprehending a seemingly ordinary burglar. However, this case quickly unravels into something far more complex, pulling Shido into a web of hidden agendas and unsettling truths about the Arks’ origins and the true nature of their protective barriers. The narrative explores themes of societal control, survival in confined spaces, and the blurred lines between security and oppression, all set against a backdrop of meticulously designed urban environments.
