Synopsis:
The narrative follows Shin Hazama, a young man emotionally guarded after a formative loss, whose tentative connection with his childhood friend Kotori Izumi blossoms as they approach graduation. Their fragile peace is shattered by the unexpected deaths of both Shin's mother and father. This personal tragedy unravels further when they encounter individuals from a technologically advanced parallel Japan, revealing a complex web of interconnected lives.
Shin discovers a doppelganger, Jin, who operates within this alternate reality as a protector and assassin. The revelation exposes a devastating truth: the deaths of Shin's parents were orchestrated by Jin’s counterpart, Princess Kotoko – Kotori’s relative self and a formidable antagonist. Forced to confront this startling truth, Shin and Kotori must navigate their burgeoning feelings amidst escalating danger, questioning the nature of fate and the sacrifices required to alter a predetermined destiny. The story explores themes of identity, familial legacies, and the enduring power of connection in the face of profound loss.
