Synopsis:

In a world increasingly connected through online video platforms, a group of young friends known as the "Awesome Ones" find their lives unexpectedly altered. Their online videos take an unforeseen turn when they discover Bakugan, small biomechanical creatures capable of incredible feats of combat. As they explore the world of Bakugan battling, these pre-teens forge bonds with their own unique Bakugan partners and navigate a rising conflict within their community. The series blends themes of friendship, responsibility, and the blurred lines between entertainment and reality. The narrative focuses on the characters' journey to understand the power they’ve been given and protect their neighborhood from those who would exploit Bakugan for personal gain, all while grappling with the challenges of growing up in the digital age.

Reviews:

  • User dumbskaterboy (Score: 7/10):
My brother and I watched this together because he really liked the original show and wanted to check this out. The beginning of this show didn't start out very well. It was slow and none of the characters were very likeable at first. However, starting at episode 14, the story started to get much better and the characters started to really improve. We both thought it got really interesting. Unfortunately, you need to watch through the beginning episodes to understand what's going on and make the character development meaningful. It is also kind of childish at times and you can tell that it is madefor kids, but it still has an interesting story that they do some cool stuff with. Overall, I really enjoyed it despite the slow beginning, but it isn't for everyone. If you like big, over-the-top anime or tv shows, you might like this, but if not you probably wouldn't like it.
