Synopsis:

Rokurou Okajima, a mid-level office worker, experiences a radical shift when a business trip to Thailand ends with him becoming a hostage of the Lagoon Company, a mercenary group operating in the lawless city of Roanapur. Unable to secure his release through traditional channels, Rokurou makes an unexpected choice: he joins the crew. The anime follows Rokurou's integration into this dangerous world, navigating Roanapur's pervasive corruption and engaging with its criminal underbelly. He grapples with his former life as he adapts to the Lagoon Company’s morally ambiguous operations, facing constant peril and clashing with the unpredictable gunfighter Revy. The series explores themes of adaptation, survival, and the blurred lines between right and wrong when faced with extreme circumstances, as Rokurou confronts the consequences of his decision and the cost of maintaining his own sense of self.
