Synopsis:
In 1969 Japan, the seemingly ordinary life of junior high student Marin is shattered by the appearance of a strange celestial phenomenon. From this anomaly emerges a wave of advanced androids, the Monomakia, who target Marin for unknown reasons. Seeking refuge, she encounters Melan Blue, a sword-wielding alien warrior who emerges from a mysterious blue bottle found within a local shrine.
Bound together, Marin and Melan must navigate a world grappling with otherworldly threats, societal prejudices, and governmental scrutiny as they fight to protect Earth. Their journey forces them to confront not only external enemies but also personal struggles – Marin's fractured past and Melan's enigmatic mission. The series explores themes of trust, belonging, and the complexities of family, both found and inherited, within a vibrant and historically evocative setting.
