Synopsis:

Centuries after a cataclysm transformed Earth into a desolate landscape, humanity is extinct, and existence belongs to sentient machines. These robots, designed for perpetual life, now grapple with inevitable decay following the demise of a pivotal figure known as Luna – an event that triggered a widespread system failure termed "The Ruin."

The narrative follows Casshern, a robot burdened by amnesia, adrift in this decaying world. Driven by an unknown purpose and haunted by relentless pursuit from fellow automatons fearing mortality, he embarks on a journey to unravel the mysteries of his origins and the planet's past. Rumors persist of immortality found within another robot, Casshern, offering a desperate hope amidst widespread existential dread. The series explores themes of identity, mortality, and purpose in a world grappling with the consequences of its own creation, presented through a melancholic and visually striking depiction of a ruined future.
