He Jiang's life is irrevocably altered when her father is killed and she is imprisoned for possessing a sword. Emerging from eight years of confinement at twenty-four, He Jiang seeks to reclaim her past and forge a new path.

With the assistance of newfound companions, she restores her father’s delivery truck and re-enters the city's complex network of trade. Navigating prejudice from the Department of Security, He Jiang must contend with systemic injustice while striving for autonomy. The series explores themes of resilience, community, and resistance in a world grappling with power imbalances and societal division, as one woman fights to redefine her future.
