Yobi, The Five Tailed Fox centers on Yobi, a young kumiho – a nine-tailed fox spirit – navigating a world where folklore and reality intertwine. Driven from her family by relentless hunters, Yobi resides in a secluded forest with an unconventional group of companions: shipwrecked aliens seeking refuge. When one of these friends is taken captive, she ventures into human society to secure his freedom.

Her journey leads her to a village and the school for troubled youth, where she encounters Geum Yee, a student who sparks Yobi's curiosity about human life. Embracing this newfound experience, Yobi finds both companionship and danger as she becomes entangled in the lives of her fellow students. However, her presence attracts unwanted attention – a persistent fox hunter and a shadowy figure with unknown motives, threatening to disrupt her fragile peace and expose her true nature. The series explores themes of belonging, identity, and the delicate balance between the natural world and human civilization.
