Chu Feng: B.E.E

Set in a near-future world dominated by bioengineered soldiers known as Vanguards, the story follows Liuli, a veteran Vanguard nearing the end of her operational lifespan. These advanced combat units, while highly effective, suffer accelerated aging due to their internal nanomachines, leading to frequent retirements. Assigned a seemingly straightforward hostage rescue mission, Liuli's objective becomes unexpectedly complicated when she discovers the hostage-taker is a former Vanguard himself. Driven by a desperate plea and a desire for justice, he seeks the return of his son, a child linked to a secretive project called "Eden." The encounter ignites a conflict between Liuli and Zhou, forcing her to confront the legacy of her own existence as a weapon and challenge the morality of a society built upon military advancement. The narrative explores themes of mortality, purpose, and the consequences of technological progress in a world perpetually at war.
