Synopsis:
In 2017, a powerful empire has overrun Europe, leading to desperate measures by the continent’s forces. The Britannian Empire's relentless advance prompts the formation of Wyvern, a specialized military unit comprised of former Japanese citizens now known as "Elevens." These individuals are recruited from marginalized communities and trained to pilot advanced Knightmare frames in high-stakes combat scenarios.
The narrative follows Lieutenant Akito Hyuuga, a skilled pilot known for his battlefield effectiveness, as he participates in a seemingly straightforward rescue operation. However, the mission quickly unravels when a tactical decision leads to a catastrophic self-destruct sequence, leaving Akito as the sole survivor. The series explores themes of survival, loyalty, and the psychological toll of warfare within a setting of mechanized combat and political conflict. It presents a character-driven story amidst intense action, examining the cost of heroism in a world consumed by war.
