Cong Hong Yue Kaishi

Decades after the arrival of a crimson moon, humanity clings to existence within fortified city walls. A cataclysmic event has birthed "mutations"—mental alterations that, in some, manifest as a dangerous psychic plague. These uncontrolled abilities emit radiation and contaminate the surrounding environment, threatening the fragile remnants of society. Within the heavily guarded High Wall City, a specialized Pollution Cleanup Department is formed to combat this growing crisis. The department recruits individuals capable of managing their own mental energies. Lu Xin, driven by a desire to understand and contain the source of the contamination, seeks entry into this perilous division, facing both external threats and the internal struggles that accompany wielding extraordinary power in a world irrevocably changed. The series explores themes of survival, responsibility, and the burden of extraordinary abilities within a confined, dystopian setting.
