Synopsis:

Fifty years after a cataclysmic event known as "chaos" reshaped the martial arts landscape, the world exists in an era defined by rapidly evolving power. Initially, Murong Qiong’s demon sect fought a losing battle against the encroaching chaos, until the arrival of Yi Zhihua, who introduced transformative techniques now called "demonization." Though successful in repelling chaos, these techniques spiraled out of control, fundamentally altering martial artists into exceptionally powerful, yet altered beings.

Now, Dongfang Sheng seeks out Murong Qiong, a figure disillusioned by these changes and living in seclusion. Sheng hopes to reignite the traditions of the past, presenting a complex challenge to Murong Qiong and forcing a confrontation with the consequences of progress. The narrative explores themes of legacy, ambition, and the cost of achieving power within a society grappling with its own evolution.

This show was my first ever comedy donghua, and I loved it. 100% recommend. —————— Story: 8/10 It has a pretty stereotypical premise, basically a “team up to fight the bad guy” show, with funny side plots and insane twists. Everything works together really well and it does a great job keeping you hooked. The plot works together seriousness and comedy almost perfectly, getting you on the edge of your seat one moment and dying of laughter the next. Characters: 8/10 They're pretty cliche, but it's all part of the parody-style comedy. Their personalities work great together and their relationships make for a great watch.Animation: 8/10nIt has great 3D animation. They make sure the scenes that need it are animated beautifully and the constantly stunning cinematic direction is absolutely jaw-dropping. I love the little details and they make some really cool choices for high-energy scenes.nnEnjoyment: 10/10nAgain, this show is hilarious. I love comedies, and this is one of my favorites. It does both toilet humor and smart comedy, which I really enjoyed.nnEnding song: 100/10n哦豁 (Ohuo) by 大川Dietry is perfect. It’s one of my favorite ending songs of all time. After I first heard it, I immediately listened to 大川Dietry's full discography and it's seriously top-tier stuff. I really recommend him as an artist.nn———————————nnIf you like comedies with childish humor, fast pacing, cinematic moments, and funny characters, this is for you. You can watch the episodes for free on Bilibili's YouTube channel every week. Normally they release to members of the channel first, but after 7 days they are released to non-members. Give this show a try, and I hope you like it as much as I do.
