    Synopsis:

    In a quiet rural setting, Shikada Dagashi has been a cornerstone of the community for nearly a century, a purveyor of traditional Japanese sweets passed down through generations. Kokonotsu Shikada, however, harbors ambitions far beyond the family business, dreaming of a life as a manga artist and resistant to his father's expectations. The arrival of Hotaru Shidare disrupts this established order. Tasked with recruiting Kokonotsu’s father for Shidare Corporation, a globally recognized sweets manufacturer, Hotaru adopts a unique approach: convincing Kokonotsu of the hidden value and artistry within dagashi. The narrative explores themes of legacy versus personal aspirations, tradition in the face of modernity, and the subtle ways passion can be found in unexpected places, all set against a backdrop of charming local culture and nostalgic flavors.
