Synopsis:
Azami exists outside the conventional flow of time, observing the world from a detached perspective. Her solitary existence shifts dramatically with the unexpected arrival of a family, offering her a glimpse into connection and belonging. This newfound stability is fragile, however, shadowed by an understanding of mortality that fundamentally alters her perception of existence. The narrative explores themes of isolation, the bittersweet nature of relationships, and grappling with inevitable loss. Set against a subtly fantastical backdrop, the anime presents a quiet contemplation on what it means to be truly present in a world defined by impermanence, focusing on emotional resonance over action-driven plotlines. It’s an introspective character study about finding meaning within finite moments.

This is a full music track for the song Days featured in the show Mekakucity Actors. The track itself is very enjoyable to listen to by itself. This song is a far darker song than the song Daze which as well has its own music video. Unlike Daze, Days music video features very little movement and color. Although this lack of color should be an issue it instead adds to the darker more emotional atmosphere set by the song. The lack of movement should help create a more lonely and abandoned setting, but instead hinders it as we are forced to assume this rather thansee it for our-self. This is not helped when the song shifts into a happier more upbeat tone and the animation on screen hardly changes as all. This could have been executed with adding color to the bleak world and/or adding movement as the characters are starting to become full of life again. nnThis was a missed opportunity compared to the other music video Daze that made use of still images and set them in motion with fast pans and quick still frame changes. Even though Daze suffered from the same issues Days did it was still able to execute far better maybe due to being shorter and thus being able to have all of its animations within the four minutes compared to Days almost six. .
