    Synopsis:

    Midorijima, a secluded island transformed by the ambitious Toue Inc., presents a stark contrast between the privileged residents of Platinum Jail and the displaced original inhabitants relegated to the Old Residential District. The island's social fabric is shaped by two prominent games: Rib, a gritty street battle game, and Rhyme, a sophisticated virtual reality combat experience reliant on personalized AI companions called All-Mates.

    Aoba Seragaki attempts to avoid involvement in this vibrant yet unsettling world, content with a quiet life. However, a forced entry into the competitive Rhyme circuit, coupled with disturbing reports of missing players, shatters his peaceful existence. As Aoba navigates the complex dynamics of Midorijima, he uncovers a hidden undercurrent of danger and inequality beneath the island's polished facade. The series explores themes of social stratification, technological dependence, and the struggle for autonomy in a controlled environment.
