Eun-sil-i

Returning to their secluded hometown, In-hye and Sun-mi confront a community grappling with tragedy. The death of their childhood friend, Eun-sil, during childbirth throws the village into turmoil, particularly concerning her abandoned infant – fatherless and unprotected. As In-hye, Sun-mi, and their local acquaintance Ji-young attempt to safeguard the child, they uncover a painful truth about Eun-sil’s life: she was marginalized and exploited within the very community meant to care for her. The narrative explores themes of responsibility, guilt, and belated compassion. Haunted by the village's past neglect and burdened by their own history with Eun-sil, In-hye and Sun-mi must confront a deeply unsettling situation – can they provide the protection and solace that was denied to the mother and child?
