    Synopsis:

    Twelve years after a catastrophic interdimensional event unleashed monstrous beings above the Sea of Japan, the disappearance of scientists Joe and Marie Hayakawa fuels a desperate search. Their research into a mysterious realm, documented in the book "Day of Succession," offers the only clues to their fate. Driven by familial concern, twins Ai and Yu embark on a journey to uncover the truth behind their parents’ expedition.

    Their pursuit leads them to an abandoned subway station and a chance encounter with Lisa Pacifist, who joins their quest. The trio ventures into the unknown dimension documented by the Hayakawas, navigating unfamiliar landscapes and encountering remnants of a world shaped by otherworldly forces. The anime explores themes of scientific exploration, familial bonds, and the consequences of unintended consequences as they strive to locate their missing parents within this strange new reality.
