    Synopsis:

    Set in early 19th century Antwerp, *Flanders no Inu* follows Nello Daas, a young artist from a working-class village. His life revolves around supporting his ailing grandfather and navigating a complex relationship with Alois Cogez, the daughter of his landlord who disapproves of their friendship. When Alois is sent away to boarding school, Nello discovers an art competition centered on the works of Peter Paul Rubens – a chance to pursue his artistic aspirations and potentially reunite with her.

    The narrative explores themes of social class, ambition, and unwavering loyalty as Nello strives to overcome obstacles in his pursuit.
