    Synopsis:

    This installment revisits the familiar world of Gegege no Kitaro, following the young boy Kitaro as he navigates the ethereal boundary between the human and Yokai realms. He resides within the Gegege Forest/Cemetery, a liminal space populated by spirits and strange entities alongside his unconventional family: Sunakake Babaa, NekoMusume, and Konaki Jiji, along with his father, who exists primarily as a presence within his single remaining eye. Visually distinct from previous iterations with his brown hair, this Kitaro confronts the everyday mysteries and occasional conflicts arising from the constant interaction between these worlds. The series offers a contemplative glimpse into folklore and the delicate balance between life, death, and the unseen, presented with a uniquely melancholic atmosphere and understated charm.
