Synopsis:
In the year 3567, humanity ekes out an existence amidst the decaying remnants of a technologically advanced past. Scattered across the ruins of forgotten cities, survivors face constant threats from enigmatic mobile units known as Gardeners, deployed from the Moon. These unmanned weapons rank in power and pose a persistent danger to settled communities, which rely on dwindling automated systems for basic functions.
The narrative centers on Tokito Aizawa, whose life takes an unexpected turn upon encountering Tea. This encounter triggers latent abilities within Tokito, hinting at a power source far exceeding that of the Gardeners themselves. This awakening could represent a pivotal moment, potentially reshaping humanity’s relationship with its technological legacy and offering a pathway toward a more secure future in a world defined by loss and resilience. The series explores themes of survival, adaptation, and the potential for rediscovering lost knowledge in a post-apocalyptic landscape.

Gin-iro no Olynssiss has nothing to do with Sunrise, Bandai, or the Gundam franchise but at first glance, you'd think so. Character designs are very, very similar to Gundam Seed and the story bears great similarity to After War Gundam X: humanity salvaging scraps of the past on a wrecked earth, extraordinary mecha, accidental teenage pilot, romance, jealousy, a nasty satellite system on the moon, sacrificial characters, slightly uncertain ending . . . . . I think they even tossed in a little Blue Gender for good measure. Character designs and animation is a little lacking, but not bad. It starts off a littleslow but ends up being a very satisfying 12 episodes if not a masterpiece. If you are a fan of the genre, it is worth the time. It's probably a 7.5 but I can't make the numbers do that. -

The story is a bit backwards similar to other animes it has time travel yes but by the middle of the anime you understand everything so anyone who says you cant obviously never finished it. The gundam like design is also false its more like bandai's power rangers then gundam. if you like mecha romance action with drama and plot twists then i highly recommend it. The bad part is how short it is they had to cram quite a bit into 12 episodes. The anime itself is well put together its similar to line barrels of iron in the sense of time travel andfuturistic mecha action.nnBut over all it was a great anime so if you feel like you would like to try it feel free
