Synopsis:
Following a period of uneasy peace in Edo, Gintoki unexpectedly resurfaces, his return masked by a hasty disguise as he rejoins Shinpachi. The reunion is overshadowed by immediate conflict; a skirmish with the enigmatic Tenshouin Naraku casts doubt on Gintoki’s intentions and forces him to rely on unconventional methods to maintain his anonymity. Inside the Yorozuya office, a familiar presence awaits him, hinting at underlying complexities.
Simultaneously, Kondo Isao embarks on a diplomatic mission to another world, aiming for improved relations through marriage with Princess Bubbles. A communication barrier with the Gorilla Amanto people leads to unforeseen consequences, unexpectedly garnering their support during the wedding ceremony. However, an unwelcome arrival threatens to disrupt the proceedings, leaving Kondo’s fate uncertain and questioning the true nature of his diplomatic efforts. The narrative explores themes of identity, perception, and the unexpected ramifications of interpersonal connections across vastly different worlds.
