Synopsis:
The series follows Ayumi Arihara, a young woman whose unwavering belief in the power of romantic affection finds an unsettlingly literal manifestation. After a bizarre confession from the imposing Misao Zaitsu, Ayumi's carefully constructed desires are thrown into disarray. A chance encounter with Mamoru, Misao’s brother, sparks a new and complicated emotional landscape.
As Ayumi navigates these unexpected affections, she grapples with the idealized notion of love versus the complexities of genuine connection. The narrative explores the often-unpredictable nature of first experiences, portraying the anxieties and vulnerabilities inherent in adolescent relationships. Intertwined with Ayumi's personal journey are the struggles of her friends, each facing their own unique trials in pursuing love and acceptance. The anime offers a nuanced look at the emotional turbulence of adolescence, examining how personal ideals can be challenged by reality.
