Synopsis:

Set within the fractured world of Hokuto, this installment in the series focuses on Yuria, a character navigating a landscape defined by both brutal conflict and quiet resilience. The narrative explores her personal journey amidst ongoing struggles for power and survival. Expect a somber tone, emphasizing the complexities of morality and the lasting impact of violence. Yuria’s story delves into themes of responsibility and the burdens carried by those caught in the crossfire. The OVA offers a character-driven perspective within the established Hokuto universe, examining the human cost of conflict with a thoughtful and understated approach. Reviews:

  • User Pageplant (Score: 6/10):
It's weird that the OVA completely centered on Yuria's POV feels less about Yuria than her presence in the original series. First things first, Yuriko Ishida is bad as Yuria and can't hold a candle to Yuriko Yamamoto. She can barely show any emotion at all with her voice. Yuria is also portrayed as a brunette instead of a ginger and I don't know why. In the end, almost every other character than Yuria feels more insteresting than her and the additions to the original story are uninteresting at best and dumb at worst. For some reason, a dog called Toby is introduced and he is oneof the main characters, because somebody thought that's a good idea and I don't really agree with that.nnStill, if you are a fan of the series, this is a watchable OVA and you will enjoy it, but don't expect anything more than a mediocre filler. 6/10!
