Synopsis:
Twenty years of fragile peace between the Middle State, Northern Land, and Southern Territory are fracturing. The treaty, forged after devastating conflict, is nearing its expiration, igniting old resentments and new anxieties. Each nation establishes a Blood Order – a list of key figures from rival houses, bound by a vow to eliminate them. This escalating cycle of vengeance promises not a simple skirmish, but a widespread campaign of targeted elimination across the land. The narrative centers on the looming consequences of this formalized animosity, exploring themes of legacy, retribution, and the cyclical nature of conflict as personal histories collide with the fate of nations. The series examines how deeply ingrained hatred can reshape societal structures and drive individuals towards increasingly drastic actions, all against a backdrop of political tension and impending violence.

THIS WAS AWFUL. I hope the people who see this review will not watch this waste-of-time anime. This is the definition of HORRIBLE. - The storyline is all over the place. - The main character is BARELY shown in the first 30 episodes. MIND YOU, there are 40 damn episodes. - The side characters are shown more than the main character and take over the whole damn plot. This has to be the WORST anime I have EVER watched in my life. I found this hoping for a non-boring experience just to get a migraine in the first 3 episodes. I thought that this was going tobe good until the storyline got more and more confusing minute by minute. I came to this anime expecting a warfighting experience JUST LIKE THE SYNOPSIS SAYS IT WILL but got trash instead. FUCKING AWFUL. Please do not waste your time on this shitty ass anime. -

This donghua was GREAT! Beautifully-animated characters with realistic facial expressions, involved in a well-paced story with lots of interesting fights. Though the first episode was rather confusing (as no background information was provided) coz it started by showing unknown people fighting and killing each other. Only from second episode onward, things start to make sense. It's about 3 different clans coming up with their evil schemes and hit lists to kill off all the main fighters in the competing clans, so as to be able to rule the world. Since it is their practice to pour wine over the dead, thus the title - aslong as there's someone else on the hit list alive, the practice of wine-pouring will never cease!nnSo, with the main elements of the story explained above, I'd like to point out why I like this donghua.n- Great character animation - and especially so for an older 2016 donghua!n- Nice fightsn- Good story with lots of twistsn- Well-pacedn- Appeals to viewers adoring 不良人 - twisted folks with secretly evil agendas. Though I personally do not like such complex people and prefer the straight-up pure saint or evil chacracters, I find the motivations explained by this donghua acceptable. Luckily, there are still a handful of simple and nice people - the ML and FL, for examplennOverall, a worthwhile watch!nnRating: 8/10 nnp/s: I'm not really looking forward to Season 2 ... coz I can't really stomach this killing of beautifully-crafted characters every 2 episodes. *Heartache*
