Synopsis:

Orphaned Mowgli finds an unconventional family among the creatures of the Seeonee Forest, taken in by a wolf pack and guided by the wisdom of Akela, alongside the watchful Baloo and Bagheera. The series chronicles his formative years navigating the complexities of this wild existence. Mowgli’s journey is marked by both tender companionship and perilous trials as he grapples with questions of belonging and identity. He learns the intricate rules governing the forest, facing constant threats from both nature and predators like the formidable Shere Khan. The narrative explores themes of adaptation, community, and finding one's place within a world that doesn’t readily accept him, presenting a nuanced portrayal of survival and self-discovery in a richly detailed natural setting.

This anime unlike most of the other ones is actually adapted from the novel by Rudyard Kipling. The story is set in India with Mowgli,an orphaned boy who was raised by wolves being the main protaganist of the story .If you havent read the book, then the story might actually resemble Tarzan.Though Tarzan and mowgli do bear thier similarities. The story starts off with mowgli's parents being killed by the Sher khan, the tiger and the story's main antagonist.Mowgli is then rescued by wolves(Alexander and luri) who then take him into thier care. The story that follows is mowglis' survival in the jungle, his attachment to his animal friends and his close encounters withsher khan.nThe anime despite not being as popular as ther anime during it's time is still worth watch, though it may actuallynappeal younger fans more than the older ones.nnOverall it's a decent anime to watch and I really would reccommend it to people who want to try something a bit differrent.

A series from my childhood, which I really loved. I rewatched it recently, only to find out that I still love this series^^ In it's core, it's a story about growing up, about maturing, learning more about the world, finding new friends and such. This is also the aspect I love most about this series: We see how Mogli grows up, gets stronger and gains the respect of his wolf comrades. Another good point are some of the characters: We got Bagheera, who's really an awesome friend Mogli got. He saves Mogli's life several times and they share a close friendship. Especially the end got another surprise in this friendship;-)nnThere's Lala, who first is pretty much a tsundere and kinda dislikes Mogli, but later on her attitude changes, and later another time. You can really see how she matures, too and becomes a full adult.nnAnd there's Luri, Mogli's wolf mother, who shows a lot of affection to her kids, but can also be harsh to them when needed. She really gives this aura of a strong, disciplined and yet loving character, which is pretty cool.nnOf course, not everything is the series is good. Some episodes are good, some are rather boring and useless. But still, all in all, the series was really fun. There's a lot stuff children can learn from this series and there's actually a whole story with a real end here, unlike the disney version.nnIf you love animals, this is a must-watch for you! ;-)
