    Synopsis:

    Fifteen years following a significant victory against a powerful antagonist, swordsman Kibagami Jubei continues his wandering existence across Japan. His solitary journey takes an unexpected turn with the arrival of Shigure, a naive priestess unfamiliar with life beyond her secluded village. Their fragile peace is shattered when a demonic incursion leaves the village devastated and Shigure the sole survivor, now possessing a mysterious artifact known as the Dragon Jewel.

    This event thrusts Jubei and Shigure into a dangerous path, pursued by both human and demonic forces seeking to control the Jewel's power. Joined by the stoic monk Dakuan and the nimble thief Tsubute, Shigure embarks on a perilous quest for safety in the village of Yagyu. The series explores themes of responsibility, loss, and the burden of power as Jubei must once again confront the darkness that threatens to consume the land, all while protecting the innocent.
