Synopsis:
Aiko, a solitary seventeen-year-old living in an old family shrine, finds her quiet existence disrupted by the arrival of an enigmatic stranger. She’s long carried a sense of unfulfilled potential, symbolized by a perpetually unfinished sliding door within the shrine. Her grandfather, the head priest, unexpectedly invites him to reside within the secluded compound. Aiko resists this intrusion, but the newcomer's genuine courtesy gradually begins to chip away at her defenses. The narrative unfolds with a contemplative pace, exploring themes of connection, identity, and finding purpose in unexpected circumstances.
