    Synopsis:

    A young video blogger chasing online fame takes a dangerous gamble by fabricating cryptid encounters. His carefully constructed deception unravels when a terrifying reality emerges – monstrous creatures are not mere fabrications, and the consequences are lethal. The narrative shifts to a school community grappling with a sudden, devastating threat: a colossal, subterranean predator stalking the grounds.

    Driven by a desire to understand these phenomena, a researcher named Sousuke Banba begins investigating, guided only by the cryptic name "Kagewani." His pursuit of answers leads him through a series of unsettling attack sites, revealing that the creatures' origins and motivations are intricately linked to corporate interests and potentially, hidden within his own surroundings. The anime explores themes of deception, survival, and the blurring lines between myth and reality.
