Synopsis:

In a future where consciousness can be digitally stored and transferred, societal stratification is defined by access to this technology. The wealthy can inhabit new bodies indefinitely, while the impoverished often sell their own for survival, their memories preserved in memory chips. This stark divide is visually represented by an atmospheric barrier separating the privileged from those relegated to a desolate underworld.

The narrative follows Kaiba, a man adrift with amnesia and a cryptic locket – his only link to a forgotten past. Forced to navigate a bizarre and fragmented universe, he journeys between worlds, piecing together fragments of his identity and searching for the woman depicted in the locket. The story explores themes of identity, memory’s impact on selfhood, and the ethical implications of manipulating consciousness within a deeply unequal society. It's a contemplative exploration of what truly constitutes a person when the body is merely a vessel.
