Synopsis:
The series follows Kokoro, a student involved in a school initiative to revitalize discarded items, whose everyday life takes an extraordinary turn when she and her Cocotama companions are invited to the Cocotama World. There, they witness the workings of the Cocotama gods firsthand, and Elder Tama enlists Kokoro’s help in fostering a greater appreciation for used goods among humans. However, their visit coincides with a disruption – Tepple, one of the group, has stolen a vital acorn from the Happy Tree, the source of magic for Cocotama World.
The theft unleashes unforeseen consequences, manifesting as negative energy mushrooms that proliferate from discarded objects, impacting both the human and Cocotama realms. As these mushrooms spread, Happy Stars begin to leak into the human world, draining its magic. Kokoro and her friends must navigate this escalating crisis, working to mend Tepple's fractured emotional state and restore balance before the darkness consumes both worlds. The narrative explores themes of environmentalism, emotional well-being, and the interconnectedness of different realms.
