Synopsis:
Set in the tumultuous year 0071 of the Cosmic Era, the narrative follows the escalating conflict between those born with genetic enhancements – Coordinators – and those with natural human origins – Naturals. The destruction of a neutral nation during a mobile suit battle fuels Shinn Asuka’s relentless quest for retribution against the Naturals, who he believes are responsible for his family's demise. He rapidly ascends the ranks within ZAFT, ultimately piloting the advanced Impulse mobile suit.
Amidst this growing tension, Athrun Zala, a seasoned veteran working with diplomat Cagalli Yula Athha, becomes involved in the unfolding conflict. He finds himself tasked with guiding the emotionally charged Shinn, attempting to temper his thirst for vengeance and redirect him toward compassion as war looms closer. The series explores themes of grief, prejudice, and the complexities of choosing between revenge and reconciliation within a world on the brink of further devastation.
