Synopsis:

In a world where technological advancement has blurred the lines between human and machine, *Kikaijikake no Marie* explores themes of companionship and emotional connection. Arthur Louis Zetes, a man hardened by experience and skeptical of human nature, seeks a robotic maid to alleviate his isolation. Instead, he receives Marie Evans, a former martial arts prodigy burdened by financial woes who agrees to serve as a highly-advanced, almost robotic, domestic assistant.

The series follows the evolving relationship between Arthur and Marie. While their interactions are initially defined by formality and Arthur’s often-direct communication style, a subtle affection begins to develop. Marie's reserved demeanor gradually softens under Arthur's unexpected kindness and consideration, creating a unique dynamic within the opulent setting of his home. The anime presents a slice-of-life narrative that balances humor with quieter moments of character development, examining how genuine connection can bloom in the most unconventional circumstances.
