Synopsis:
Set against the backdrop of China’s turbulent Warring States period, this anime follows Xin, a determined orphan striving for a life beyond servitude. His aspirations are intertwined with his close friendship with Piao, who unexpectedly gains an opportunity within the royal court. A sudden and violent power shift throws their lives into disarray, forcing Piao back to Xin with a crucial task: to connect with the young King Ying Zheng.
The narrative charts Xin's entry into a world of political intrigue and military ambition. As he navigates the complex landscape of warring kingdoms, Xin embarks on a personal journey toward realizing his ambition of becoming a respected general. The series explores themes of loyalty, ambition, and the price of power within a historically rich and often brutal era. It presents a character-driven perspective on the rise of a nation and the individuals caught within its tumultuous history.
