    Synopsis:

    Kono Oto Tomare! centers on Gen Kudou, a koto artisan seeking to connect with his grandson, Chika, through the traditional instrument. Driven by a desire to understand his grandfather’s legacy, Chika unexpectedly joins Tokise High School's Koto Club. Despite initial reservations from the club president, Takezou Kurata, who is wary of Chika’s reputation, he grants him membership alongside Satowa Houzuki, a gifted koto player, and a group of Chika's spirited companions.

    The series follows their journey as they navigate the challenges of teamwork and personal growth while striving to excel in the national koto competition. Set against the backdrop of a traditional Japanese high school, Kono Oto Tomare! explores themes of familial bonds, overcoming prejudice, and finding harmony – both musically and personally – within a close-knit community. The narrative emphasizes the dedication required to master a challenging art form and the power of shared passion.
