Synopsis:
Makoto Nakazono carries a silent burden: the ability to witness the grim reapers who guide souls to the afterlife. For years, he has suppressed this unsettling perception, understanding the impossibility of convincing others of his visions and accepting the inevitability of fate. His carefully constructed normalcy is disrupted when a reaper at his school confronts him, questioning his detached observation of life and death. The revelation that this reaper is connected to his close friend, Hazuki Horiuchi, forces Makoto to confront a deeply ingrained reluctance. He’s compelled to question his passive acceptance of destiny, grappling with the possibility – and potential consequences – of intervening in someone else’s predetermined end. The series explores themes of acceptance, responsibility, and the delicate balance between fate and free will within an everyday high school setting subtly interwoven with supernatural elements.
