Synopsis:

Set in a secluded coastal town steeped in folklore, the series follows a young woman grappling with a mysterious past and an unusual connection to the ocean’s creatures. She finds herself drawn into the lives of the town's inhabitants – each harboring their own secrets and burdened by long-held traditions. The narrative explores themes of identity, belonging, and the delicate balance between humanity and the natural world. Atmospheric visuals emphasize the town's isolated beauty and subtly hint at hidden histories. As she unravels the mysteries surrounding her origins, she must navigate complex relationships and confront unsettling truths about the community she’s slowly becoming a part of, all while contending with increasingly strange occurrences linked to the sea. The series offers a contemplative exploration of personal discovery within a richly detailed setting.

To be honest I wanted to stop watching this anime after the first few episodes mainly because of the main character. I decided to give it a chance to see if it would change as I expected it to, sure enough it did. Compared to the other mecha anime I have seen this is very poor. The anime did not follow the story from the manga but this is nothing new. After I finished this anime I didn't regret taking the time to watch it... but it is not something I would go out of my way for nor would I re-watch it.
