Synopsis:
The narrative centers on the burgeoning rivalry between Seirin High and the formidable teams of Japan’s elite basketball schools. Seirin seeks to overcome a legacy of dominance established by the "Generation of Miracles," a legendary group of prodigies who once captivated the nation with their unparalleled skill. Central to Seirin's efforts is Tetsuya Kuroko, a seemingly unremarkable freshman harboring a hidden past as the Phantom Sixth Man of the Generation of Miracles. He partners with Taiga Kagami, a newly arrived player brimming with raw talent and unwavering dedication. Their contrasting styles – light and shadow – form the core of their evolving teamwork as they navigate challenges in the Interhigh championship. The series explores themes of teamwork, individual potential, and the complexities of legacy while portraying the intense physicality and strategic depth of competitive basketball.
