Synopsis:

Set against the backdrop of the Russo-Japanese War in 1904, this anime follows Umakai Shintaro, a former Japanese diplomat now teaching at an unusual academy in Sapporo. This school isn’t located on land; it resides aboard the *Amanohara*, a flying vessel piloted by a benevolent demon. Shintaro's students are the Raimu Unit – five young women capable of summoning powerful entities to aid them in battle. As their teacher and strategist, Shintaro guides the Unit as they prepare for a decisive confrontation at Port Arthur (Lushun). Their training delves into both combat tactics and the complex motivations of the opposing "Russian Spiritual Corps," forcing Shintaro to confront a personal connection to one of their members. The series explores themes of mentorship, self-discovery, and the blurred lines between tradition and innovation amidst wartime upheaval.
