Synopsis:
In a world fractured by ancient conflicts and shrouded in mystique, *Long Zu* explores the lives of individuals caught between tradition and change. The narrative centers on a young woman grappling with a heritage she doesn't fully understand, navigating a society where power is tied to lineage and forgotten histories whisper from the past. She finds herself unexpectedly drawn into a clandestine organization dedicated to preserving lost knowledge and safeguarding against a resurgence of old rivalries. The series unfolds with a deliberate pace, emphasizing character development and intricate political maneuvering within a richly detailed world. Expect thoughtful explorations of identity, duty, and the complexities of legacy, set against a backdrop of breathtaking landscapes and subtle supernatural elements. It’s an experience that prioritizes atmosphere and nuanced storytelling over high-octane action.

Story: I can say that this story is so exciting. When start watching this make me feel like, how could this anime have not been so popular. Which is unfortunate Sadly this is probably going to be a sleeper for most people for a while since it's a Chinese production. Art: Overall the art isn't anything special. Luckily it isn't bad at all, but that doesn't mean it lacks moments where you know that with better animation the whole anime would be better. Sound: There isn't really anything special about the sound choices of this anime, it is all pretty standard, and nothing will surprise you, butit does do its job at some parts and doesn't take anything away from the anime, while also not adding anything of much value, past the mere basics.nnCharacter: Some of the characters have a lot of personalities and unlike the normal emotionless MC, Lu Mingfei isn't like them, showing his emotions. The same with the side characters, they all have decent personalities.nnOverall: I gave this anime overall a 9, The genre and main character really boosted this as a whole and made it much more enjoyable to watch than one might think. I hope the sequel will be better, when the story proceeds to continue. -

The animation looks too good for a story with such horrible writing. The characters are uninspired and often exude one trait/emotion and for literally zero reason seem to do something the exact opposite. Nono and Lu might just have bipolar. If you are a god at suspending your disbelief, you will likely enjoy this show, as the animation is high quality. The art is okay, not original but unoffensive. If you're used to shows like Quanzi Fashi or other Chinese productions, there's a good chance you'll enjoy this. If you are more of a western/Japanese audience, steer clear of this writing disasterpiece.
