Love Like Aliens

Set in a near-future where humanity's survival hinges on technological integration, the story explores a world where the distinction between human and android has dissolved. Earth’s decline prompted widespread interstellar colonization, yet this progress has profoundly altered the very nature of human experience. Core aspects of human connection – love, family, intimacy – exist only as distant memories, almost like legends.

This six-minute animated short film visually interprets the iconic "Gynoid" designs of Hajime Sorayama. Developed through a collaborative effort between Studio 4°C, Shirogumi, and filmmaker Rashad Haughton, it utilizes a unique animation process – filming live actors as reference for hand-drawn CG sequences. The result is a contemplative glimpse into a transformed humanity grappling with identity in a technologically advanced yet emotionally detached universe.
