Lycoris Recoil

The anime follows Takina Inoue, a highly skilled operative within Direct Attack (DA), a shadowy organization known for training orphaned girls as assassins. Disillusioned by a disciplinary action, Takina is reassigned to LycoReco, a seemingly ordinary cafe that serves as a front for DA operations. There, she unexpectedly becomes partnered with Chisato Nishikigi, a fellow Lycoris prodigy whose approach to missions deviates sharply from Takina’s disciplined methods.

Chisato prioritizes assisting those in need, often employing unconventional tactics and avoiding lethal force. As Takina navigates this new dynamic, she grapples with her ingrained beliefs about DA's purpose while witnessing a different way of impacting the world. The series explores themes of duty versus compassion, challenging preconceived notions of justice through the contrasting philosophies of its two protagonists as they work together to address everyday problems and uncover hidden complexities.
