Synopsis:
In the shadow of the impending Three Gorges Dam, an archaeological find sparks an unusual chain of events. A peculiar artifact, attributed to the enigmatic ancient philosopher Mak-zi, surfaces from the Yangtze River and embarks on a perpetual journey downstream. Mak-zi, a visionary whose inventions seemingly anticipated modern technology, remains largely unrecognized. The artifact's rejection by institutions fuels its relentless voyage.
The narrative then shifts millennia forward to McDull (Kwok Kwan Yin), a seemingly ordinary kindergarten student in Hong Kong. McDull’s life becomes unexpectedly intertwined with the legacy of his distant ancestor, hinting at a hidden connection to Mak-zi’s pioneering spirit and the mysteries surrounding his forgotten inventions. The series explores themes of legacy, innovation, and the enduring power of ideas across generations, all set against a backdrop of historical curiosity and modern-day life.
