    Synopsis:

    The narrative follows Shintarou Kisaragi, a young man deeply reliant on his computer and the virtual personality of Ene. An unexpected disruption to his routine – a necessary trip to a department store – plunges him into a real-world hostage crisis. Rescued by the enigmatic Mekakushi Dan, a collective of teenagers possessing unusual ocular powers, Shintarou is drawn into their world. He and Ene are compelled to join the group as they navigate situations demanding the use of these abilities. The series explores themes of connection, dependence on technology versus human interaction, and the burdens of hidden histories. As the Mekakushi Dan confront each crisis, the mysteries surrounding their powers and the shared past that binds them together gradually unfold, revealing a complex web of relationships and purpose.
