Synopsis:
Following a devastating earthquake and tsunami, eight-year-old Hiyori and Yui find their lives irrevocably altered after arriving at Kitsunezaki station. Disoriented and without clear origins, the girls encounter Kiwa Yamana, who offers them refuge and a new identity. Under Kiwa's guidance, they begin life at Mayoiga, an old house overlooking the sea, forging a unique bond and building a communal existence. The narrative explores themes of found family and resilience in the face of trauma. The series focuses on the quiet beauty of their coastal setting and the evolving relationships between the three women as they navigate a world forever changed by disaster and rediscover meaning in shared experience. It’s an introspective look at rebuilding life, one connection at a time.
